Namaskaram Yoga hosted the first classical Hatha Yoga Fest in the Bay Area from March 17th to 19th, 2017. Almost 60 people participated in the event, which was aimed to equip people from all walks of life with a home practice of Hatha Yoga in its purest form. Each day started with Guru Pooja, an offering to the great Masters, and continued with Angamardhana (yogic workout), Surya Kriya, Yogasana and Bhuta Shuddhi. The fest ended with classical Indian music, not so classical Indian dance, and with tears of joy. Here is a glimpse of the program and some sharing of what participants experienced during the fest.
